    This is word for word what a very smart Federer fan said to me it's hilarious. You may not personally care about 19 fan favorites. But think about it for a second. What an achievement it is. How many tennis players even have a career that long. For nineteen YEARS tennis fans deemed Roger the most entertaining, most fun to watch, the man they believe in. Nobody will ever win that many fan favorites again. It's a harder thing to achieve than 24 slams. The level of love the tennis world has for Roger is higher than the level of love any other athlete has ever known in their sport except for maybe Tony Hawk. That's the kind of greatness I am talking about. How can you even argue he isn't the greatest when you know the manner in which I am using the word greatest. They really do like to chat shit aha.

      I don't even think that "fan favorite" is legit. Most people don't know how, when and where to vote or they just don't care enough to do it. And the result can be fixed just like how they fixed GS draws. Even if it's not fixed, Federer's fan favorite is as legit as some guy in BTS being voted as the most handsome man in the world.

    there was a real and true statistics expert who did this super long algo and it ended up with Harold Soloman as the greatest tennis player of all time. true story.. Haha.. Pete Sampras is the greatest. one thing is for sure... you put a wood racket in nadals hands and laver beats him 2 and 1. you cant judge forwards but can go backwards with tennis. the technology is way to different to make fair comparisons forwards. to be fair, put a pure aero in lavers hands and nadal wins 0 and 0. it's all relative. none of the current pros could win sets against the old timers. hardly games if they had wood rackets and gut and laver shoes... wouldn't be close at all. but fed would do just fine. wouldn't win but i'd be closer. There's a reason the wood racket pros were all 5 feet 10 and a half inches tall. tall enough to serve and short enough to run fast. fed would be too slow. Isner wouldn't make a high school boys team with wood. not a chance.

    I always believe that novak had that extended luxury by not having a great follow-up young rival to challenge him. Like Federer has Nadal and Nadal has Novak but for Novak it took almost ten years to have a strong follow up young rival like alcaraz.

    You’ve got to be kidding. The way these players are judged is by majors, before Novak started dominating in 2011 it was Federer 16, Nadal 9 & Novak just ONE. The point is at that point he wasn’t in their class, obviously he has since surpassed both of them, but before 2011 it wasn’t even a discussion who was 3rd etc

    Federer Was the only player in 2011-2012 to beat prime djokovic 2 times in grand slam. For me 2011-2012 are the best years because novak became stronger and Roger Was at his best. Roger declined in 2013 for his back and knee injuries. After he remained the second best player in the world after novak. Novak is the best of all time overall but there isn't a big difference.

    total crap. they changed the radar guns to give us "speed inflation" in every sport. It's for hype and propaganda / recency bias reasons. Further, 90s and 2000s were hotter and drier, it's cooler and wetter on average these days. That made the serves in particular difficult to deal with back then. The changed the balls and everyone knows it. It's better tennis now, serve bot tennis is boring.

    Very good videos, but I think it's even more complex! In Wimbledon 2019, Federer was the better player. Even Boris said so... How on earth can a 38-year-old player become so dangerous for Nole? That shouldn't happen. Both had enough time in that match 🙂 to show how good they were. In their next match, Federer was the winner. Why has Nadal only won once against Federer since 2017 (certainly on clay)? Novak says that Rafa is his biggest rival. (Nadal names Federer for that) !?!? I think the main thing "Goatkovic" wants to show us here is that Nole is "better" than Roger and Rafa. Could I be right?

    Growing up watching Federer, Murray, djokovic, and Nadal I had come to love each of their playstyles. If I had to pick just one of them I lean more towards Nadal as my favorite but there is no denying that djokovic is the best. Has them all beat H2H, most majors, most weeks at number 1, won all masters, etc. I’m sad they are slowly all reaching their end but I’m grateful I was able to witness them and all their amazing matches. Nadal is most likely done but I hope djokovic wins a few more majors before he retires.

    You also forgot probably the most important fact of all: Djokovic only found out he was gluten intolerant by the end of 2010. That might seem irrelevant, but for professional athletes, whose success is defined by inches of difference to their competition, this was a HUGE advantage that novak was giving to his competition prior to 2011.

    @thistagworked 5 дней назад

    All you need to look at to disprove the Federer got old theory is the guy after 2011 was still consistently making semis and finals. Djokovic achieved his greatness with a near prime Federer, a better version of Nadal on hard courts, and a prime Murray. Also look at Feds 2015 season the numbers don't show how great that season was because he kept losing to Novak. Fed ended 2015 with 6 titles but he'd have 11 titles that year if Djokovic wasn't there.

    Each person has 1 fav slam but when Nadal has more Slam its doesnt matter 🤣, Comparing each slam is most useless points ever , So if Nadal win more 3 Ao & 5 Wimby , Federer still has more in 3/4 slam but suddenly Nadal won 2 Us open and he has better record in 2 slam . Conclusion won 2 uso > won 3 ao & 5 wimby =))

  • @vinuchandra2008
    @vinuchandra2008 6 дней назад

    As a Federer fan I have to disagree with many parts of this video. Weeks at no. 1 doesn’t mean anything if nadal can consistently win titles and stay no. 2. The clay court dominance does matter if it is extremely significant and consistent when he is better than most other players on hard and grass with a decent h2h on the surface vs Federer. Though he was never “The Man”, winning big titles consistently matters. I do agree with the competition argument as Federer would have obviously won more if Djokovic didn’t stop him. If Federer beat Nadal just a few more times on clay, I could say he is far better than Nadal, but not being able to compete with him on clay makes me say he is equally great as Nadal unlike Djokovic who could beat Nadal on clay.

  • @sportalitytv7690

    I will always accept Nole is the GOAT it's facts but man Nadal is so good on clay people don't care how he played on it and act like any titles he wins on clay actually lowers his value as a player like if Nadal wins everything on clay everyone is like don't care not important win on other surface but like when Nole/Federer win on grass/Hard court noone says beat him on clay

    Djokovic is The GOAT. The numbers dont lie. But Federer injured his back seriously in 2008. Alter that year, his back was not the same. A healthy Federer like 2007 backwards or 2017 Federer would be better than Djokovic. In 2007, Federer lost The Canadá Masters to Djokovic in a equal match.
